So they switched the damn thing on, spent most of the day listening to radio 4 thinking like an idiot that the experiment was going ahead today. Its a wierd one, which has got me a little worried we've had "end of the world" pencilled in on the diary for a while now, but the date kept changing. If the world doesn't blow up then I really think it will be more to do with sheer luck than anything else.
The media has done a good job of it, Two of the kids on the street have had to be consolled, one because she overheard me, and I got "you better give her a hug", and the other neighbours kid came round on her bike crying her eyes out thinking the world was going to end because its been all over the news. I'm there saying don't worry it's not going to happen while I've had in the back of my mind for a few years now, what the hell happens if this think goes wrong? It is a worry, and i don't pretend to understand any of it. All i remember was when they were building this thing one of the scientists says "oh yes a side effect of this experiemtn is it will create micro blackholes which will last for a nanosecond or so and then fizzle out......" yadda yadda, but what the media got hold of was black holes, and what I even thought back then was, what if one of them doesn't fizzle out, and what the hell do we really know about black holes anyway. I mean we only found out a few years ago that we orbit a supermassive black hole.
The switch on was widely covered, I feel finding news about when the test goes ahead is going to be awkward to find, because for the past year news has not really been up there you've had to look for it.

So it appears that the ATV 'Jules Verne' is to be launched to the ISS tommorrow.

Which is that thing above. Mind you I took that back in August 2006, and apparently its taken them about 11 years to build it. I find it wierd because although I'm a little geeky about Space travel, although not as bad as my brother, its not very often you actually get to see a space ship that is to be used.
Other news we got Transmission this evening which I hope to be attending. Got to pick up Ross and Lizzie in a few hours. So hope to see some of you there. I will be armed with Camera, Just because my website is looking rather spartan of late. I'm sure people think I've dissappeared off the face of the earth.

Maybe I should prove I'm still alive. Actually went out to the Black sheep a few week ago, even have photos on my website to prove it.
Engagement party is still going, got some of the invites out, but should hopefully get the rest out soon. We bought a new car on Saturday. It took three hours to do that. Its in Germany waiting to be shipped, we should hopefully get it in a few days.
Watched the new Knight Rider the other day, which I couldn't believe they have remade. its interesting. Asked Georgina to buy that car but I got a no.

You ever think people should update more? So in the world of Wil, things are still going along the same. Went to Black Sheep on Sunday and although me and Georgina are becoming slight reclusies, it was nice to get out for an enjoyable evening.
Today we went to B&Q bought a few pieces of wood and then proceded to build a breakfast bar thingy in the kitchen. Due to the size of the kitchen its all it could warrant. But its up and I think you could sit on it without it collapsing, so yay me.
Shopping in the middle of the night is something everyone should try however, we seem to have a bad habit of it of late, but at least its quiet (ish). More and more people seem to be getting the idea of shopping at the likes of 3am.
Went to my parents the other day and some bastard snapped the rear wiper off the car, so a trip to Evan Halshaws to get a new arm and wiper was in order. Things we could do without. Still not quite worked out how to replace it as part of the old arm is well and truly stuck.
Went to see Spiderman 3 the other week. Not the greatest of films but the cinema trip was not without its own entertainment. How much do you hate people who talk in the cinema. Yeah well a group of teenagers, talking to each other, on mobile phones swearing profusily (some parent of about a 6 year old got quite upset), were eventually kicked out about 3/4 through the film. Screaming of course and threatining to attack the staff, and anyone who got in the way. Not pretty. So a polite complaint, whihc is just me at times got us a refund and free tickets. Its still annoying though.
In regards to the film, too much and not enough going on at the same time. Its slow to start and then rushed at the end. I think due to Sonys lack of income from the PS3 and there electronics division they needed something that would gaurantee money for them. Yeah well thats the cynical side of me.

Its been a while really, I noticed the last time I updated was on the 10th November. Quite a while. Christmas came and went in a blur, got lots of nice pressies. My 30th birthday was nice (nearly a month ago) Had a nice meal with my family. Shocked at Jonathans birthday present of a portable DVD player and then a new digital camera from my mom. The last one died while on holiday in the Netherlands. Probably static killed it we think because it died in the middle of a very bad lightning storm.
I redecorated the living room here at some point. Three weeks of choas with Georgina wondering when the living room would be back together. New Years Eve was spent at Carpe again. (Photos are here) Job situation is still sucky (i.e none) and the Jocentre is making me jump through even more hoops. They have sent me on a six week course. Honestly with all these courses and stuff, exactly when am I suppossed to find a job? Dunno if I will end up doing it to be honest, I worry when I sign a form that says I wont shoot up while I nick their PC's. Mind you its in Belle Isle. Yeah I think everyone knows my prejudices about South Leeds, and yet here I am living in it. God I must be in love caus I wouldnt do it otherwise. (Yes i'm a bit of a snob)
And finally watched the rest of Heroes last night. Very good show (think it starts on Sky one sometime soon). Cliff hanger ending, thankfully its back on the 22nd.

It's been four weeks since I last updated.... ummm. I guess in a way that has a lot to do with the fact that I have nothing new to report. Still looking for work, and thats getting on my nerves. It would appear on average for every 10 or so applicaions you send out you get maybe 1 reply. You get the odd interview, but its getting annoying that no-one ever gets back to you.
It was my moms birthday this week, which meant a family get together. Its strange that I have finally moved out of my parents house, and that I seem to see Simon and Felicity only once in a blue moon. We had arranged to meet up next Thursday but he's already cancelled on me. I'm still spending a fair amount of time in East Bumble Fuck at least.
Tonight sees the the Flock at the Tin. I will be sat on the door wrapped up in a duvet I hope. It's kinda cold, but a lot of fun. So yeah shamless plug for Friday Flock Live.

Well it was Georges birthday yesterday, which involved going out for a meal in the evening. I believe she had a nice day, albeit a bit chaotic at times. For anyone whos not seen me recently I'm not dead, I'm still about. Still at SGS, which is a good place to find me if your looking. For those out at Friday Flock Live, I will see you there, but only to take money off you, (on the door that is). Still an unemployed layabout, but at least I'm getting a few more interviews, but still no job as a result. I'll get there.
DJing at the last Bad Wisdom was fun, despite the fact that one of my CD's messed up so I had to substitute a lot of my set. It was still fun and a few people danced which is what its about.

Ok so we're back in the country. Had an interesting 10 days in the Netherlands. Well it rained all the time and the weather was sucky. A couple of tornados and some scary lighting storms, finished off with a very rough crossing via ferry home. Although the ferry had its benefits. My parents got me and George our own cabin, with champagne and choclates in it for us. Also got reservations for dinner which meant a nice queqe jump, and we finished the night off in the cinema, which by a fluke we got to ourselves. People in general we're all been sea-sick. There was lost of things smashing all over the place, the perfume shop lost its stock, and the top resturant lost all its crockery. Fun crossing though, glad to get home.
Went to Esa Estec (satelite testing lab) For the geeky space people, we got to see the service module (AVT) thats going up to ISS. Kinda cool. George managed to get me swimming, so I had to buy swimming trunks. Erm i've not been swimming for about 20 years.
It was nice to get out of the country though, although we seemed to do a lot of travelling about. Got to go too dreilandpunt (Germany, Holland and Belguim in three seconds).
Anyways, will be at the Flock, so hope to see some people there. :)

Bad Wisdom was fun, photos of the said event can be found in the usual place. Although it took a while to update, as a result of me spending very little amount of time at home. I could do with having the files I need on this computer. It would make updating a little bit easier.
Got a few days booked to go to the Netherlands again this year. George is coming with me :) A fun filled flight again. Yeah Wil doesn't like flying, and then about 3 hours on a train to get from Schipol to Maastrict. Yeah one end of the country to the other. Might have to go to the three points again. Can't remember what its actually called, but spin on a spot and you've done three countries.
George has got me watching musicals. I finally watched Cats. Never seen it before. Sat and watched Eternal Sunshine last night. About the billionth time for me.

A few photos from the flock here Fun night with lots of random people about. Met up with Lizzie in the afternoon. Got to the Flock kinda early. Keep forgetting it starts at 8. Got harrassed by a few people at some point.
Bus home was fun. Bumped into Rose at the bus stop, and besides me and her there was only one other person on the bus, so the bus driver just bybassed going through West Park, and Yeadon. Managed to get home quicker. It was almost a chauffer driven Nightrider :)

So Friday... pretty much involved Supernatural..rain..friday flock. Well something like that. Spent the day at Lizzies before Flock, watching the aformentioned Supernatural. Getting quite into that show. Only managed about 6 episodes I think. It rained at some point which in a fit of madness involved getting soaked.
Flock took a bit of getting used to really. Managed to get on the dance floor, however I dont think the tape on the floor worked caus people kept edging away from it. But at least it gave us something to aim for. Ross and Lizzie left early (blah), but at least they came along for a bit. Got a few too many photos as usual - fallingapart.co.uk
And then left a little too early for the bus home. Got home about 3, which was surreal, because all the street lights were off on the estate. It looked kinda pretty though. Almost gets home to find the next doors neighbours daughter and friends outside. Great. Got asked not to stand on some guys head. Very strange.

Well, Sunday Goth Social was a nice and busy evening, there was a total of 45 through the door, but people kept coming and going, so it wasn't exactly that full all the time. It seems to be doing quite well, but you kind of worry if the numbers suddenly plummit. Without giving out the magic number, for the past 7 weeks we have got enough through the door, Although I wasn't about on the WGW / Wendy weekend, we still got enough people in. Kinda surprised caus its usually dead, that weekend.
Monday was a boring day, but then Bank holidays always are, everything shuts early? Tuesday went round to Lizzie's, watched movies, a few more episodes of Supernatural, Ross cooked curry, which was very nice, and then had to put up with things to do with Jared Leto (said in a friendly joking 'im not gay' kinda way....) Got home sometime on Wednesday, then procceded to watch whatever the hell was on Sky Movies. Watched Kinsey which was kinda ok, but I'm not sure it was meant to be a comedy but part of it felt like that.
Todays Thursday, wandered to the polling station to cast my vote. At least it was quiet, no reporters outside as yet asking, "so who did you vote for". I think they must appear at tea-time when most people go to vote.
Must remember to re-new my website next week, kinda shocked its been up for a year already, although theres not much going on with it of late, I must promise myself to annoy people with my camera again. Last Flock was too busy to try and take any photos.

Sunday Goth was fun, when we finally got everything turned on. Got it all plugged in and nothing was working. Erm great, turns out the electrics had tripped somewhere, so only a minor glitch. Not as busy as the previous week (for _pyromancer's info we had 24+3), but it was fun.
Erm a little less trad goth I think, so the music was ok, by my standards anyways. At least I knew most of the music been played.
Spent saturday at darkgreenfaerie and stonehorse, and watched Lord of War. Its a funny film, but also very scary at the same time. Of which they also fed me up like some long lost relative. They think I'm wasting away or something :) Got home after a two hour journey (Why does it take so long to get anywhere?) The laugh of the night was my brother missed his train home and rang up from a lift from my mom. My mom had only just passed her driving test the other day, so a trip into Bradford centre at 1am was fun. Right morons on the road, A very near high speed chase in front of us, after a cop pulled behind a car, and when the police got out the car in front sped off. And then a steamed up car with no lights coasting along a crossroads through red lights. All a bit mad really.
So a quiet week in, and then the Friday Flock. THIS FRIDAY PEOPLE!! if you want to waste away the hours I have a counter counting down on my website until the said event. ;)
EDIT - i forgot my title....

Well I had a lot of fun last night, I think everyone knows I was nervous about doing a Dj set. Considering I have never done it before. It went ok people seemed to enjoy it. Ok although I knew it wasn't strictly goth, I did warn Jack about that but he seemed to think it was ok. Thanks to Lizzie and Ross for coming along and giving support. Even managed to get Joe to come out as well as Jonathan and Sam.

I'm so bored. Housesitting for my brother, so too kill sometime i've been sat watching firefly. I'll probably get through the rest of it at some point. However I've been looking at his shiny X-Box 360, but I seem to get my ass kicked everytime I play Dead or Alive 4. Theres always Ridge Racer 6. I think it's too quiet here. Not quiet as in the place theres just noone else about.
Managed to wander into Leeds earlier for all of about 2 hours. Had to buy birthday presents for my dad and my brother, but I did manage to get myself a copy of The Virgin Suicides on DVD for all of 3.99. I thought it was about time I replaced my VHS version, which was getting a bit old and worn.
Got to ask, who's coming out to the Sunday Goth Social this week. I've actaully got a DJ set. About an hour I think, so im going to have to throw a few other tracks in, what I came up with is only about 40 minutes. I thought it was long enough, for most people to put up with. I mean think about it, whos foolish enough to let the emo-kid DJ a goth night? Answers on a postcard please. Mind you I've got a cool song i'd like to finish with, and then run out of the door, probably chased down by irate goth type people.
